As many of you know, I’m now going to be offering my patterns for free here on my blog. The next patterns that I’m working on are publishing are those in my baby toy series. I’ve decided to start off with my favorite so far, Elanna the Unicorn.
For this pattern, I’ve used Red Heart Super Saver, using white for the main body, gold for the horn and feet, and various colors for the hair. In addition, you’ll need some stitch markers, craft needle, and poly-fil.
Don’t forget to save this pattern in your favorites and add it to your project queue to save it for later! View this pattern on Ravelry here.
I would classify this pattern as “advanced beginner”. It would be helpful to have had some experience with amigurumi before creating this project.
I’d love to see what you make with this tutorial! Don’t forget to share a photo of your finished work in your Ravelry projects and my Facebook group!

NOTES
- Checking your gauge is not required for this pattern. Use a hook that is smaller than the size recommended for your yarn weight. This will ensure that your stuffing will not show through the stitches.
- All pieces (excpet hair) are worked in the round. Use a stitch marker to indicate the beginning of each row.
- Body, legs, and horn require stuffing. Stuff each piece as you work to ensure each piece is completely filled.
- Hair: chain 1 at the beginning of each row does NOT count as a stitch (unless otherwise specified).
- See tutorial photos.

Your pattern for the hair as written doesn’t make the curls. It needs to be 2sc in second st from the hook, SC. 2SC. SC. Repeat * till the end of the row.
It does. My curls are made with 2 SC in each stitch, which would give a tighter curl. Your suggested method would still create a curl, but it would be more loose. ????
