Pro Tips for your Crochet Christmas Tree
Follow these simple techniques to make your tiny Christmas tree look professionally finished:
- Invisible Decreases: Using the invisible decrease method when working your SC2tog stitches will make your decreases almost undetectable, resulting in a perfectly smooth ornament surface.
- Seamless Color Changes: The invisible color change technique works great in this project for a seamless line between the green tree and brown trunk.
- Master More Amigurumi: For more ideas and techniques to improve this free Christmas tree pattern, take a look at my other amigurumi tips and tricks.
Creative Ways to Use Your Tiny Christmas Tree
- Make a Larger Tree: Easily scale up the size of your Christmas tree crochet pattern by substituting your worsted weight yarn for a plush yarn like Parfait Chunky. Check out my post on choosing the right hook size for amigurumi when changing up your yarn choice.
- Decorate Differently: Decorate your tiny Christmas tree crochet pattern with small pom poms, buttons, or beads instead of embroidered details for different textures and looks.
- Create a Garland: Crochet a long chain and attach multiple tiny trees for a fun, quick Christmas garland decoration.
- Make a Car Charm: Attach this Christmas tree crochet pattern on one end of a long chain, and another holiday ornament (like a Santa hat or snowman) to the other side of the chain, for a cute holiday car charm!
