If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, you probably know that sewing together amigurumi is one of my very least favorite things. Although it is completely worth the effort, I so appreciate a no-sew/minimal sewing project whenever I can get one!
I’m pleased to show you my newest design, and one that is constructed with very minimal sewing, Binky the Bear! Binky was made using WeCrochet / Knit Picks Brava Worsted yarn. All pieces are worked in the round and the legs, arms, and tail are worked directly in the body, which is worked in one piece with the head. The only sewing required is for the snout and ears!
Don’t forget to save this pattern in your favorites and add it to your project queue to save it for later! View this pattern on Ravelry here.
I would classify this pattern as “advanced beginner”. It would be helpful to have had some experience with amigurumi before creating this project.
I’d love to see what you make with this tutorial! Don’t forget to share a photo of your finished work in your Ravelry projects and my Facebook group!

NOTES
- Checking your gauge is not required for this pattern. Use a hook that is smaller than the size recommended for your yarn weight. This will ensure that your stuffing will not show through the stitches.
- This pattern requires minimal sewing. The body and head are worked as one piece, and the legs, tail, and arms are worked directly into the body as you work, rather than sewing later. The only sewing required is the snout and the ears.
- All pieces are worked in the round. Use a stitch marker to indicate the beginning of each round.
- All pieces, with the exception of the ears, require full stuffing. Stuff as you work to ensure each piece is completely filled.
- See tutorial photos.

Embroider nose on the snout at R2-3, with a line downwards to the middle of the magic ring.
Attach ears to each side of the top of the head, between R29-34.
*Note: Safety eyes and noses pose a choking risk for babies; therefore, if making this toy for a baby, I recommend using yarn, felt, or embroidered details.
