My first baby is starting school this year! Where did the time go?! Now that I have school and teacher gifts on my mind, this pencil scarf free crochet pattern would be a great option! This scarf pattern has very simple color changing to give the pencil appearance.

This simple crochet pencil scarf starts at the eraser and works to the pencil lead, created with decreases. With a few additional color changes, you could easily create a crayon scarf as well. So many possibilities!

To make this crochet pencil scarf, you’ll need worsted weight yarn, 5.0mm (G) crochet hooktapestry needle/yarn needle, and scissors. You can find all of these over on my Amazon page here.
